Editorial Standards
The principles that govern how we research, write, review, and correct everything we publish.
Accuracy and sourcing
We base health, safety, and developmental guidance on recognized authorities such as pediatric associations and public-health agencies, and we cite those sources on the guides that rely on them. Where guidance varies or evolves, we say so rather than presenting a single answer as universal.
What we will never do
- Invent statistics, study results, or data.
- Fabricate expert quotes, credentials, or medical authority.
- Claim firsthand testing or personal experience we did not have.
- Create fake businesses, listings, or reviews.
- Hide advertising or affiliate relationships.
Work in progress
Some guides are published with clearly marked sections still being expanded. We would rather show an honest “in progress” note than fill space with low-quality or unsupported content.
Expert review
Health-related content is reviewed by a qualified professional before it carries a reviewer's name. Until a specific person has reviewed an article, we do not attach a medical byline to it.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it and note significant corrections. Spotted an error? Email hello@momsmagazine.com or use our contact page.
Independence
Our recommendations are editorially independent. Read how commercial relationships are handled in our Product Review Methodology and Affiliate Disclosure.
