My son loves juice, but I’m worried juice is bad for teeth. Is this the case?

It is true that juice is bad for teeth, especially if it is loaded with sugar. Sugar eats away at the enamel surrounding the teeth, and the results could be disastrous for your little one’s oral hygiene. This is especially the case for children who drink juice throughout the day or around bedtime.

Unfortunately, juice also causes discoloration of the teeth. Your dentist may have some advice for little ones who love juice but are experiencing tooth damage because of it.

One final reminder: don’t allow babies to fall asleep with bottles – no matter what is inside of them. This also leads to tooth decay.
