A child’s first sleepover can be nerve-wracking, and so can hosting one. Your fist step is to make sure your house is completely safe for the other kids. Your son might know that it’s not okay to jump in the pool without a parent present, but will the other kids know this? It is important that you lay down the law.
Additionally, this is a great time to ask other parents about potential allergies. Your child’s first sleepover should not have to include a trip to the emergency room. Asking other parents about allergies will also show them that you are concerned with safety.
