As parents, caregivers and teachers we know there aren’t enough minutes in the day to do all that we want to do to grow our children into thoughtful adults. How do we maximize time we are already spending with our children? How do we unplug and engage to create these meaningful memories?
Over 90% of the brain’s capability is formed by the time a child is five years of age. Our public education system does not start until our children our five. To me, this poses a problem. As parents, we are our children’s first teacher. We need great tools to help us take advantage of this huge opportunity in brain development. Our program provides an easy, educational and engaging approach to storytime for children, age three through seven. The Practickle Approach focuses on building reading comprehension capabilities by utilizing a combination of quality children’s literature and a series of guided, 3-part reading engagements.
