Is it okay to schedule a C-section?

0

Waiting those last final weeks can make it quite tempting to schedule a C-section, but there are certainly a few reasons why doctors advise against it. First of all, having a C-section is a serious procedure. It takes much more time to heal after a C-section than it does after a vaginal birth as well.

The doctor is likely to schedule a C-section for women who are experiencing high-risk pregnancies. For instance, women who are expecting multiple babies or who have difficult medical conditions may have C-sections instead. This is also the case for women pregnant with babies who may possess birth defects or babies who are in the wrong position for delivery.
