raise smart childrenEvery parent dreams of having brilliant children. The good news is that you can cultivate smart children. The more you stimulate your child’s brain and provide a wide range of experiences, the smarter they become. Here are 10 ways to raise smart children:

1. Read Aloud

Children who are read to daily do better in school and learn to read better which leads to a successful life as an adult. Reading aloud is the number one way to raise a reader. Reading aloud to your children begins at birth and continues through the teen years.

2. Positive Interaction

~ Hug

β€œA mother’s arms are made of tenderness and children sleep soundly in them.” ~ Victor Hugo

Scientists observed that kids that aren’t cuddled have stunted brain growth. So, moms and dads, please cuddle and hug your children; they’ll be smarter.

~ Converse

β€œEach day of our lives we make deposits in the memory banks of our children.” ~ Charles R. Swindoll

Talk with your children. This increases their vocabulary. Also, when we converse with our children, we are investing time into their memory banks. The message we convey is that we care about them and love them. Be sure to use positive language when correcting and conversing with your children. Conversations with your children build language skills leading to higher school achievement.

~ Bond

Spend time with your children investing in their interests. When you do this, positive hormones are released creating smart children. Additionally, your children learn to feel loved and secure which also builds the brain positively.

3. Allow For Creativity

– Performing arts

– Music

– Painting

– Landscaping

– Any type of art

By doing this, you choose activities that develop the right side of your child’s brain.

4. Play Games That Require Reasoning, Logic, & Language Skills
